Forum Breakfast: 3rd Congressional District Debate

Thursday, April 11, 2024 (8:30 AM - 10:00 AM) (PDT)

** Event Sold Out**

After serving in Congress for 28 years, Earl Blumenauer announced he is retiring at the end of the current term. This means Oregon’s 3rd District will have its first open election in nearly three decades. Given the strong partisan lean of the district (D+22 per the Cook Partisan Voting Index), it is expected that the eventual representative will be decided in May’s Democratic primary election.

For the Chamber’s April Breakfast Forum, we bring together four contenders vying for the Democratic nomination, for a civil debate centered on their respective visions, priorities, and blueprints for the future. This member-exclusive event offers attendees a unique opportunity to delve deep into the perspectives and plans of each candidate as well as their strategies for shaping the trajectory of the community.

Confirmed Candidates (in alphabetical order):

  • Maxine Dexter, Oregon State Representative, House District 33
  • Susheela Jayapal, former Multnomah County Commissioner
  • Michael Jonas, CEO, Rational Unicorn Legal Services
  • Eddy Morales, Gresham City Councilor
