Participation encouraged! Bön dance is easy to learn and fun for all ages. To celebrate PDXWLF, we are inspired by Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheels. As we dance in a circle, we will become a living prayer wheel by wearing ponchos printed with the mantra OM MANI PADME HUM, which means may all beings everywhere be happy and joyful! We have been working as a community to screen print fluorescent mantas on recycled fabric that are black light reflective. Mihoko will lead the bön dances; she moved to Portland from Japan a few years ago. Pepper is a local artist who helps run a weekly community craft night called Tinker Tuesdays at the ZED in SE Portland.
