Join the Multnomah County Property Value Appeals Board

Join the Multnomah County Property Value Appeals Board in February to April of 2026. We welcome all interested individuals who live in Multnomah county! This board presides over hearings in which property owners present evidence to change the value of their real or personal property. Your role as a board member would be to hear each case, then determine if the current value is appropriate or if it should be reduced. The board will be active between February and mid April of 2026. You may volunteer anywhere between 1 to 5 days per week and there is a per diem to compensate you for your time. We appreciate volunteers with experience in real estate, appraisal, property taxes, and other related fields; however, we also value individuals who do not have these backgrounds but have an inclination to serve their local community.
